Tried it numerous times until I killed the battery. The sensor is standing up with the plug on top. The 4mm difference is so small that a 5x114 rim will fit on a 5x110 lug pattern but will ultimately be off by that little amount. Its best to change the seals every time the timing belt is serviced. The seals can become hard over time, causing the eventual leak, but it isnt the leak that is the biggest concern. The sensor is held on by a single M6 (10mm) bolt. Undo the bolt and wiggle the sensor out of the block....easier said than done a lot of the time. If you live in a climate that doesnt corrode a car, it will last as long as you repair/maintain it. However, the useful life to where you're on the good side of the balance of cost to operate/repair the car is another story.
